Three Milwaukee Neighborhoods to Visit on the Weekends
< Back to blogStretching along the famous western shore of Lake Michigan, you can find a wide array of attractions in different neighborhoods in Milwaukee. Regardless of where you choose to hang around and spend your days, you can expect a good time in a city that’s easy to explore. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend near our Wimmer Communities properties, venture out and visit these top three Milwaukee neighborhoods.
East Town
Though people associate Milwaukee with its snowy winters, if you visit from May through October, you will find different weather perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The East Town neighborhood is a great place to spend time outdoors in an urban setting. It’s close to Lake Michigan, so you can explore one (or more!) of its several parks or rent a paddleboard or a kayak.
Third Ward
At Third Ward, you can enjoy an impressive variety of art galleries, stylish boutiques, and trendy national retailers. The neighborhood is relatively quiet in the evenings, making it perfect for a relaxing stroll. Every summer weekend, the Henry Maier Festival Park hosts events celebrating different cultures and cuisines. The park is within walking distance of the Third Ward, so you can hear the drift of music as you shop or attend the event in person.
Walker's Point
Milwaukee is a friendly town. You can attend any of the numerous annual PrideFest events, and if you are specifically interested in cool bars and nightlife, Walker's point should be on your list of must-visits. It has excellent antique shops, art galleries, craft ice cream shops, and an endless food truck park.
These three Milwaukee neighborhoods are just some of the best places to visit on a fun weekend. If you can’t get enough of the area, check out our Wimmer Communities properties. Contact us today for any inquiries.
