Careers at Wimmer: More Than Just a Job

Careers are often thought of as just a source of income, or something to keep you occupied from the hours of 9-5.

A lot of the events that we hold at Wimmer are created with the idea of bringing our teammates together, building a strong, long-lasting bond between all of us. This type of cohesion that we foster empowers all of us to do our best work. Some of the most notable events that we host are our Family Night at Concerts in the Gardens where we enjoy local music and food, a boat cruise where we drift down the Milwaukee River, and an annual golf outing and dinner where we have some competitive fun!  Sprinkled in between those events are smaller, yet important events, where we come together as a team. We also aim to give back to the communities in which we live, work and play. We often volunteer at the Hunger Task Force, where we have worked in the fields picking and washing produce. Through Habitat for Humanity, we have framed homes and painted. During the holiday season, we volunteer for Operation Christmas Child, where we collect and donate gifts for children all over the world. For the past eight years, Wimmer has been awarded “Top Choice Apartment” and “Top Choice Finalist” and one of our senior communities, Forest Ridge, has been chosen by the public as a finalist for “Top Choice Assisted Living.” These awards are a testament to how hard our team works to ensure our communities are a place to call home.
