Did you know that the Milwaukee Zoo hosts exciting seasonal events? Here are four fun happenings that are right around the corner.

Dino Don's Journey to the Ice Age

Sponsored by Sendik's Food Market, Dino Don's Journey to the Ice Age features lifelike animatronics of extinct prehistoric animals. Some examples include the Wooly Mammoth, the Wooly Rhino, and the Giant Cheetah. Admission is $4 per person. This one-of-kind exhibit will be at the zoo daily until October 7th, so check it out. You won't want to miss this unique experience.

A La Carte at the Zoo

From August 17th-20th, popular Milwaukee restaurants will set up around the zoo for this tasty tradition. Enjoy favorites like BBQ, pizza, and empanadas along with a sweet treat. Finally, local bands will be there to perform live music. Best of all, this event is included with admission.

Animal Safari

This event is dedicated to the sponsors. In addition to learning more about the animals, visitors can enjoy animal-themed activities and crafts on August 26th. Visit the Zoological Society website to sponsor an animal today and help support the Milwaukee Zoo.

Ride on the Wild Side

Lastly, bike races will occur at the zoo on September 10th. The kids' race will be 2.5 miles, while the adult races will be 10, 17, and 27 miles. Everyone in the race gets a T-shirt, breakfast, lunch, and a day at the zoo. Join the race or stop by to support your favorite rider.

The zoo is always a blast, but some days, you will feel like staying closer to home. This is why it's great to have a pet to keep you company, especially if you live alone. Here are some exercise ideas for small dogs. Finally, contact us today to learn more about Wimmer Communities.
